“I am a Danish national, married to my Spanish wife since 1986. We live in Switzerland with our children, where I make my living as entrepreneur, author and financial investor.
After graduating at age 23 and 24 from two universities with a Master’s Degree in engineering and a Bachelor’s in Business Economics respectively, I discovered which work I really like: - I love financial trading and investment. This has evolved from an early taste when I was a teenager to a sound appetite in my mid twenties, and to what is now a sort of financial bulimia. In terms of volume, I trade most forex, but whatever moves or gives a high yield is fine with me; I trade commodities, precious metals, equities, and bonds as well. And for the longer term I also have portfolios of private equity and hedge funds.
- I also like starting businesses from scratch - with friends or just alone. I tend to launch or co-launch something new every 4-5 years. It has mainly been in property, finance and software. The last project is CarryQuote™, a financial software company, which I think will do very well indeed. Before that I was a seed investor in a German property company (2003) and in 2001 I founded Beluga, a successful financial trading company.
- Finally, I enjoy digging into complexity, finding structure and essence, and then describing it. That is why I write books (and other stuff) from time to time.
